08:11 AM ET 09.10 | The Return may yet happen. The one person standing in the way of Isiah Thomas officially returning to the Knicks is Isiah Thomas. According to a source close to the former Knicks president, Thomas and Garden chairman James Dolan have had numerous discussions about a position in the organization, but Thomas has been reluctant to accept the job offer. "Isiah is very close with Jim Dolan but he's told me that he's not ready to jump back into the NBA just yet," said the source. ... "There's this perception out there that Isiah is desperate to get back, but that's false. I think it will eventually happen but just not now." Thomas, who presented inductee Chet Walker at the ceremony, did not return phone calls on Saturday.

To borrow from "Fiddler on the Roof," may God bless and keep Isiah....

...far away from us!

He has received a lot of negative press since last appearing with the New York Knicks. His desire may be to return to the Knicks, and eventually he will, but it's the perception that has him on the fence at the moment. As soon as he's able to assess the situation a little more he'll put aside what it is that has him a bit hesitant.

Bad news for Brick fans. Smart money says it's a done deal. They're just waiting for the right time to announce it.

QUOTE(#12):

If Isiah comes back to the Knicks, I am truly done as a Knicks until Dolan is out as owner. This I vow before God.

Remember, you've made this statement before hundreds of witnesses.

Isiah's return will coincide with the Knicks finally playing well this year. Then the headlines can read "ISIAH GETS KNICKS BACK TO WINNING FORM!"
