Arkansas may be left scrambling at QB

08:18 AM ET 09.10 | Over the weekend, Arkansas's Tyler Wilson suffered what coach John L. Smith called a "hit to the head" against Louisiana-Monroe, and the QB is "day-to-day" as Alabama looms. Backup Brandon Allen led the Hogs on a touchdown drive to open the third quarter, extending Arkansas' lead to 28-7. But the Arkansas offense crumbled the rest of the night, managing 32 yards on its final six possessions in the 34-31 overtime loss. Smith said Allen, who threw incompletions on his final 13 passes and finished 6-for-20 for 85 yards with a touchdown and interception, wasn't to blame. ... Arkansas would lean on Allen and, likely, junior Brandon Mitchell if Wilson were unavailable for the Crimson Tide.

Scrambling for a defense. Couldn't hurt to find a running game either. Oh and an offensive line. Other than that we are GTG.

Sounds like former UTx players and current juco guys Traylon Shead and Chris Jones are taking a serious look at you guys. Unfortunately they play offense not defense.

Our defense is as broke as J.L. Smith's bank account.

I might as well weigh in and start taking my lumps.....LOTS of prpblems with the team, but we were up 28-7 and had the ball driving. We should have put this team away. Nobody had planned for Wilson being out...shame on the coaches. The emotion and energy left the field/team with Tevon Saturday night.

Arky fans were as delusional as tOSU fans last year. Never under-estimate the difference a HC makes to a team, or that this type of adversity has on W's and L's. My 9-3 projection was one of the more conservative around here...now even that looks like a homer pick.

Mitchell will get out of the hospital today...prognosis is good. Wilson has a mild concussion. He may play Saturday @ Alabama (until they give him his second concussion).

Cody Walker is out for the while....so is Small. MASH unit in Fayetteville right now

Yep, just a frickin' football game. And the people on Waikiki beach don't give a damn who won any of 'em.
