08:09 AM ET 09.11 | Even though the Bears didn't practice Monday, the fact cornerback Charles Tillman (shin), linebacker Brian Urlacher (knee) and tight end Kyle Adams (shoulder) would have been held out did register as a headline. Coach Lovie Smith remains optimistic about the team's health for Thursday night's game against the Packers in Green Bay, though Tillman and Urlacher bear watching. Tillman apparently got kicked in the shin while playing special teams Sunday. He wore a protective sleeve Monday at Halas Hall. Smith was asked if he expects to see Tillman on the field against the Packers. "Yes, I do," Smith said. ... Urlacher, still getting up to speed after offseason knee surgery, was pulled from the Colts game in the second half.

I honestly think these Thursday night games every week until Christmas suck. For those of us on the East coast, the games drag on too long to stay up for.

Shiite, man. Two of the Fox games on Sunday that started at 4:15 didn't end until 8. That's 3 hours, 45 minutes. They didn't go into OT, and there were no power failures. Mostly, it was lots and lots of commercial breaks. Once again, games are taking too long, and the problem has nothing to do with the game itself.

This is another stupid article c/o Tribune. Urlacher was pulled on Sunday because the Bears had the game in hand and were resting him. Roach took most of the snaps at mike this off-season and is competent. yes, the knee is a problem, but Urlacher will be on the field on Thursday. Tillman has a bruise. period. Some Tribune writers just want to stir the pot so that overzealous fans can wring their hands and call in Boring and Berenstain crying.

And the bears defense will give up 42. A win is a win!! Big difference going the 49ers and the colts on week one.
