Vogelsong admits costing Giants wins

Vogelsong had a 2.27 ERA through 21 starts but has a 9.57 ERA in his last six outings. Something is wrong. Maybe the catcher knows ... "It's tough to say because his stuff is definitely there," Posey said. "I don't know -- I'm kind of at a loss." ... The stuff is fine, according to all involved. Vogelsong said he's just having some trouble mechanically. "It's like I fix one thing and the other thing goes haywire," he said. "I've got to get back in the middle of the road." What comes next? "Stop being bad," he said. "I'm costing us games right now and I'm not real happy about it."

A few changes can help a team, but wholesale changes like the Dodgers made take a while to jell. Not that LA really had much choice--too thin to win this year without signing a bunch of talent. But it may be next year before the team really comes together.
