How Tide will cope without top RB (and receiver)

08:20 AM ET 09.11 | Nick Saban admitted on Monday that Alabama will surely miss Jalston Fowler. His 2012 season will likely end with 11 carries for 85 yards and one catch for 6 yards. "We're learning about different ways to use him," center Barrett Jones said last week. "He might be our best receiver, too, at running back." ... At running back, Saban highlighted redshirt freshman Dee Hart and true freshman Kenyan Drake as players who could see increased repetitions because of Fowler's absence. ... Alabama, of course, has [Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon] atop the depth chart at running back. Without Fowler, each could be in line for more than the nine carries per game they've received so far.

Bama is screwed, they certainly don't have RB depth.

Thought you might like that one. Kind of like saying that Bama does not have depth at Jack in a recruiting class.

While Bama does have a good stable of backs the loss of Fowler is bigger than you might think. His size gave a great advantage in short yardage and goal line sets. Also it was nice to have a BIG back that could come in and pound the defense during the games and help wear them down. Get better soon Jalston.
