08:07 AM ET 09.12 | With the Sacramento Kings' future uncertain, Seattle may have a place for them to play. Seattle officials Tuesday unveiled a tentative agreement with Chris Hansen, the hedge fund manager who wants to build a $490 million basketball and hockey arena. ... Hansen didn't appear at the news conference. Through a spokesman, he declined to mention any teams he might be targeting. Hansen issued a statement on his website praising Seattle officials and thanking the city's fans. A spokesman for the Maloofs, who own the Kings, said the family wouldn't discuss the Seattle developments. "Their comment is the same as before -- they're not going to weigh in on every rumor," said spokesman Eric Rose.

Sounds like the Kings will get the folks in Sacramento to buy fancy new digs or else -- if it isn't Seattle, it'll be Virginia Beach.

Sounds better than Virginia Beach.

I think we all knew this was coming. This is destination #1 for the Kings if they leave Sacramento. Still not buying the VA Beach idea, though it would be cool to see a team in VA. There's a few other cities like KC higher up the totem poll.

why move from sac to seattle?what is the benefit?why would players want to go there>?

New arena. Great town. Lots of history if they get the sonics name back.

Also, if this indeed does happen. Can we get the new sonics in the northwest and move OKC to the pacific? I dont see the wolves overtaking OKC for the next decade(s).

Sounds like they need to get a hockey team too before this plan pans out. I say this ain't gonna happen.

Seattle Kings...doesn't sound right.

Change the name back to the Sonics once there... Too bad for Sacremento but the Maloofs have wanted out of there for years.

Coffee. More access to cannabis across the border.

There are a whole host of Hockey Teams that could be put in Seattle in quick order (Yotes + Isles come to mind)...

Kings are the easy choice (West Coast and all) - but they aren't the only NBA team in play.
