08:16 AM ET 09.12 | Even with Louisiana-Monroe on the docket, Gene Chizik isn't taking any chances. [Chizik] has slammed the door on football practice, completely closing it to everyone except players, coaches and the team's support staff. The move comes after Auburn lost its first two games of the season. A limited group of former players, parents of players and others were allowed to watch practice before the rule went into effect today. The media hasn't had access to practice since Aug. 10. Auburn practiced Sunday, mostly to review the mistakes from Saturday's 28-10 loss to Mississippi State. The Tigers' first major practice for this Saturday's opponent, Louisiana-Monroe, is this afternoon.

It's called "circle the wagons."
After starting 0-2 (especially after being flummoxed by Miss. State), Coach Chizik is taking no chances. Even if Louisiana-Monroe hadn't won last week, he'd be doing the same thing.

If the Plainsmen do not beat the P40s this Saturday, they are destined for an 0-4 start. Next up: LSU.

"Auburn practiced Sunday, mostly to review the mistakes from Saturday's 28-10 loss to Mississippi State." That must have been one very long practice!!! :-)

He's doing this so that no one responds to any of the rumors floating around. There's possibly something going to come out about the Memphis players who had his grades changed.
Chizik was asked about the rumors in his press conference which leads me to believe that a story is coming out and the reporters have been talking amongst each other. There have been tweets about it.
I'm not saying auburn is guilty, but Chizik surely doesn't want his players being asked that same type of question.

Me too. I've picked 'em two weeks in a row and they crapped the bed both times. Might get the hat trick and pick 'em again.

In reviewing their mistakes did they go as far back as hiring Chizik?

LOL...that's good right there.
But, we'd expect no less from a Bama guy.

Best part is that there are now some calls from AU fans to hire Petrino. At least he can coach. The only smart call Chizik ever made was hiring Malzhon (sp?) and paying 180K for the most dynamic player in the last 50 years.

Didn't think the state of Alabama allowed guys with "sexual transgressions" to coach college football teams. (i.e. Mike Price)
