08:08 AM ET 09.13 | When told Bill Belichick mentioned earlier this week that Larry Fitzgerald may yet go down in the books as the NFL's all-time best receiver, Fitzgerald was taken aback. "That's what he said?" Fitzgerald first asked reporters during a conference call with the local media earlier [Wednesday]. "I mean, it's an honor that he even knows my name, to be honest with you. He's the best coach ever. Look at his record, what he's been able to accomplish over his career. He's an unbelievable football coach. I have a long way to go. I have a lot to improve on, a lot to work on," Fitzgerald went on. "Obviously, I'm envious of him, with all his hardware he has, and his team has. So, we have a lot to improve on."

That's a bit too modest Larry even for you. Everyone in the NFL knows your name my friend.

There would be something wrong if BB didn't know who he is.

September 13, 2012  09:04 AM ET

Is this his way of saying, "Please trade me to the Patriots. Please?"

You know, the Cards who should be in rebuilding mode, might get something good out of trade. Probably pick/s.

Belichick usually keep a few of those laying around, in case of emergency.

No pre-game bulletin board material here.

Just BB playing the nice game in hopes Larry Fitzgerald will not make his DBs look silly. Not to worry BB, Larry Fitzgerald is the only trick that pony has.

Maybe a little too modest, but Fitzgerald is a class act all the way!

And they're always glad u came...

Fitzgerald should defect this weekend. Hide in BB's office and demand sancuary.

The Cardinals are going over a cliff again this year, but that's kind of the norm for that team.

If you see Belichick on the sidelines, shouting "Not the knees! Not the knees!" when he makes a catch, you'll know there is skullduggery afoot.
