The NBA's worst contract

08:12 AM ET 09.13 | Among a list that includes the likes of Metta World Peace, Andrea Bargnani, Carlos Boozer, Amare Stoudemire and Andris Biedrins, Hedo Turkoglu stands perhaps at the front of a very wealthy class. Even as Turkoglu's dud deal is on the wane, there are still no teams that want to go near the final two years and $23.8 million Turkoglu is owed. Orlando tried desperately to shed Turkoglu's salary as part of the Dwight Howard trade, but couldn't find a taker. Little wonder -- Turkoglu is 32 now and began his decline almost immediately after signing the five-year, $50 million contract with the Raptors in 2009. He was coming off years in which he averaged 19.5 and 16.8 points, but in three seasons since, he posted just 11.0 points per game.

Picture of Boozer, but it's actually Hedo's contract that's talked abouit. This is not news about Hedo's contract/performance, and that the Magic want to drop him. It won't get done until next year when they either buy him out or can move his expiring contract.

Where is Joe Johnson?
Dude has regressed since he signed that big contract.
Going from 23ppg to a lowly 18.8ppg.
No wonder the hawks traded him, plus in the playoffs he shoots poorly....

Well New York's very own Apple does...........hence that mad bush league "Stat" should headline this list and I think most of us here have a very hard time digesting that cap killer's bogus contract. I understand people's startleness with the contracts of both Turk got no Hurt and Boozer the Bogus Cruiser, but by no means whatsoever does this Cat the very fraudelent
Stat should come absolutel second to none in bogustivity. This fraud seems untradeable and I admire very much (only in this regard) the Hawks being able to move Joe Johnson, hence an equally bogus stick up for the production he puts out.

At least Boozer and Amare can get you double figures on a nightly basis, still not worthy of a huge contract but...the rest of those dudes are a total waste of cap space and only further illustrates the incompetence of most NBA GMs...

Pre-amnesty days you would have to include Rashard Lewis and Gilbert Arenas in that group.

Charlie V definitely should be on here too

I don't know,, until New York brought in Carmelo, Amare was playing pretty good.

True, but I don't think Andrea's deal is that bad. $10 mil per season is decent for 20 points a game, especially in a place like Toronto that most NBA'ers think is a closer version of Moscow.

Yeah, I think he is worth the money. how in the world has toronto been able to hold on to that team.. Send them to Seattle.
