Ryan won't 'take somebody else's job' in Europe

08:25 AM ET 09.14 | Anaheim forward Bobby Ryan has a different take on playing overseas, something he says he won't do. If there's a lockout, Ryan plans to stay and skate in California, according to the Orange County Register .... "I know you'll lose guys right way," Ryan said. "That being said, I'm an NHL player. I'm not going to take somebody else's job overseas." Even if there was labor peace between the players and owners, this would have still been an eventful summer for Ryan. He's coming off of a somewhat disappointing season -- at least by his high standards -- and has been the subject of frequent trade rumors. Those seemed to get over his skin because he said in an interview, "I gotta be honest with you. At this point, I don't care. Move me."

See my other quotes...an average regular player gets about 3 million. That's about $35,000. per regular season game.
I hope the "big" stars enjoy losing 6 million plus for a lost season not to mention opportunities to change the record books and their own legacy long after they no longer are in the game.

I said once before that I've been in strikes. And it always peed me off when the tradesmen left and went to work elsewhere while the regular Chets had to man the picket lines.
For the most part they were going where work was available and not taking somebody else's position. But it still stunk to high heaven.

While I'm ranting...
Legalize prostitution and marijuana to reduce crime and police resources and over crowded prisons. Eliminate the trade and tax it...both the U.S and Canada can use the new tax dollars rather than paying to fight a battle they will never win as it stays a criminal problem.
Draft the gang member in North America into the armies and make them medics. Give them some value for their fellow man and get them off the streets and killing innocent people.
Have the U.S finally invade and take one of these middle east countries for their own. Give those fanatics something to really cry about if that's what they want.
Why can't the U.S protect it's embassies with prison fences turned the other way to keep these freaks out?
No body seems to yell and burn our flags too much when the U.S and Canada provide financial and medical aid to any Country in the face of disaster.
That stupid movie could have been done by some Al Kada goof for all we know.
I didn't realize until recently, that Islam and it's religion was only gained through war and bloodshed...
Do any of these people realize that the world is not what it was 1500 years ago in the first place?

Just a lot more bs going on around us beside lock-outs and much of it can be easily fixed...other, will perhaps not...but there is too much **** in this world and too much of if stinks around the planet. Like the Joker in the original Batman says...This town needs an enema...and so fourth.
I'm sick of innocents dying and getting killed by people that have no respect for anyone else's life. IE: Gang Bangers, Fanatics and just plain dumb arses. All can be dealt with...and done so severely.
The crap because of that stupid movie has set me off...nothing to do with the U.S. Just crap and 4 innocent victims. So much of both our Countries problems can be fixed with some fortitude. Like I said...It was a rant.
