08:47 AM ET 09.15 | A group of community leaders convened by restaurant franchisee and former professional basketball player Ulysses "Junior" Bridgeman met with Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer on Friday to discuss the possibility of a National Basketball Association team coming to Louisville, Fischer's office said. In a statement, Fischer said the meeting gauged the "level of interest" and the "conditions necessary to attract a team." Phil Miller, a Fischer spokesman, said the city is not involved in any "active deal" with a team. "I don't think an NBA team is in the offing," said Louisville Metro Council President Jim King, who attended the meeting.

Why is Toronto always mentioned to contract? It's not the fans fault they have incompetent owners and management. Toronto fans do support their team even during losing seasons.
