Two concussions behind Jason Bay's struggles?

09:10 AM ET 09.16 | There are moments, Mets Manager Terry Collins said, when Jason Bay swings a bat like the dangerous hitter he used to be. Then there are the more frequent, unsuccessful moments that have reduced Bay to one of the highest-paid platoon players in baseball. That is why Collins suggested Wednesday that Bay, whose .156 average is the worst of any major league position player with at least 100 at-bats, might still be feeling the effects of his two concussions, the first in 2010 and the other in June.

Bad Karma. He had a Fenway swing and he walked away from it like Nick Esasky and Mo Vaughn.

wiseup: If the cause of his struggles with bat is caused by concussions he should retire.
