Who surprised Lions D-Line with luxury recliners?

08:03 AM ET 09.17 | Christmas came early to the Lions' defensive linemen this year. Like children who wake up to find presents under the tree, the defensive linemen recently walked into their meeting room and found their stiff office chairs replaced with brown, leather recliners. "We just walked in on a Wednesday and they were all there," defensive end Cliff Avril said. "Somebody in the room got it for us. I'm not sure who." Not long after Ndamukong Suh joined the team, a leather recliner -- whose color might be described as Nebraska scarlet -- appeared in the room. ... Could the person who sits in that red recliner have been guilted into buying his teammates some chairs? "Might have been," Avril said with a smile as he shot a furtive glance at Suh's empty locker.

Nice! The recliners will come in handy when they watch the playoffs while sitting in them.

Maybe replace they with old fashioned school desks, as they were "schooled" by the 49ers last night....

Clearly the best in the NFL until proven otherwise. And given how the mighty fell over the last 2 weeks, they are headed for a ring.

It's still a little early to be talking rings. A lot can happen in 14 games. At least I hope it can.

They were supposed to be pointing to that game and they just got handled. The 49'ers are playing like a team on a mission and everyone else just looks like roadkill.

Yeah they made my guy Matt look like a rookie again. To hold that offense and the Packers offense to the yards and points that they did the 9ers are the truth.

Yep... if one one looking for bullet points on the season to date, that has to be #1 or #2 (the officials being the other)...

Ah, the officials.
The Pats had a late TD that would have won the game for them called back on a holding call. The replay clearly showed nothing that should have been called. So, we now have at least one case where the replacement refs made a bad call that turned a win into a loss.
Yeah, they didn't deserve to win. But, the Cards didn't either, and no one deserves to have a game taken away from them by the refs.
