Three coaches already on the hot seat

08:15 AM ET 09.17 | Are there already some ADs getting antsy enough to make a move and pull the plug on a coach's tenure so soon? Arkansas head coach John L. Smith may occupy the hottest coaching seat in America after just three weeks following his team's disastrous showing at home against top-ranked Alabama. ... Meanwhile, in Colorado, Buffaloes head coach Jon Embree is seemingly in over his head as his team sits at 0-3. He lost the opener against in-state rival Colorado State, which is being led by a first-year head coach. Then last week the Buffaloes fell to FCS school Sacramento State. ... And Kentucky's Joker Phillips, who is 12-16 as UK head coach, has work to do in Lexington if he wants to get a fourth season to lead the Wildcats.

Don't stop with canning J.L. Smith, fire the DC, OC, Offensive line coach, the water boy, the band director etc etc etc.....

Since he is only going to be there for one year anyway, he will get 3-5 weeks to prove himself rather than the 3-5 years most new coaches get.

LOL

Yup. They will make a clean sweep this year. No coaching leadership at all.

This I do not understand, he is only to be there this year anyways, no sense in saying he is on the hot seat, it was only a temp one anyways. The other two, yeah, very much so. Colorado has not got a decent one in a long time, and Kentucky even longer so they both should be OUT THE DOOR.

I agree, Smith was only brought in for one year, it is obvious he cannot handle the position and will be gone after the season. Colorado is a disgrace, oh how they have fallen since leaving the Big 12, do you see the tear drop in my left eye? NOT!

John L. Smith and Joker guaranteeed to be gone.

Lane Kiffin at USC.

Nah Lana's not in trouble yet. Now when she cries about losing to Oregon, then she will be fired and told to take daddy with her....

What was Colorado thinking with their hire of Embree?? Who is he?? Colorado should rush to hire Petrino now today.

Let'em hire Fulmer or Mangino. Either one would weigh about the same as Ralphie but I'm pretty certain Ralphie has a better 40 time.
