08:09 AM ET 09.18 | At a recent practice with his new Pistons teammates, Kyle Singler came down on a fast break and made a perfect pass that led to a dunk. That's Singler. He's smart, and he'll make the right plays as a rookie this season with four years of experience at Duke and a year in Spain. Even though the small forward position is crowded with Tayshaun Prince and Corey Maggette, it'll be hard to keep Singler on the bench because of his ability to hit threes and his basketball IQ. "He makes us more athletic," Pistons big man Greg Monroe said. "He's a smart player." Singler said: "I'm here getting to know my teammates." He laughed when it was mentioned that the last small forward the Pistons drafted was Grant Hill. "That's good company to be in," he said.

He has good SF size, and can shoot, but what's the end game?Is he supposed to be a legit player or a rotation guy?If its the latter, why is there a thread on him?

I think he will end up a rotation guy....but as far as him having a thread even the Detroit guy is confused. Heck they have been hyping this dude all summer in the Detroit Newspaper...

Just Don't Become An Edsel, Bro.

The problem is he'll only see 5 min a game as long as Prince and Maggette are on the squad, killing his development like every other SF they bring in from the draft... Still shaking my head from that Ben Gordon/Maggette trade... The joke is I doubt any team will be dumb enough to take of their salaries should they want to rid themselves of these guys.. Anybody know if the Pistons used their Amnesty clause yet??

...but apparently not solid enough for him to have his own picture attached to an article about him. ????

We cant Amnesty Prince because he signed after the Lockout and Maggette is in the final year so he is trade bait.

The Interns are just trying to show that there are plenty of minutes to be had in Detroit...

Starting with the 3 apparent "spectators" getting Posterized by Deng

My question is can he guard elite small forwards in the league, he will be guarding the other teams most versatile and more than likely athletic players day in and day out. I just dont see that playing out well in Detroit. But the kid can shoot and he does know the game so he is worth a chance at the least

the last small forward drafted by Detroit wasn??t T.Prince????
