08:26 AM ET 09.18 | In a recent blog entry attributed to Teemu Selanne, the Finnish Flash took aim at the owners. Here is the crux of Selanne's hard-hitting nature of the post [via translation from Google], aimed directly at the NHLPA's opposition. "A perfect example is the Minnesota owner Craig Leipold, who is also one of the NHL's members of the group. He makes a two-player, Zach Parise and Ryan Suter in a couple with 13 years and more than $100 million contracts (per player) and tells the hockey world how excited the entire Minnesota is fresh purchases. The next day, he put a jacket on top of the NHL, going to the other side of the table and tells the same hockey world how incomprehensible are these new long-term contracts. Come on!"

He is stating the obvious of the hypocrisy of these owners. He also said this

Gary Bettman has been the NHL's boss for almost 20 years. He was hired by the NHL to bring the salary cap, and so he did.... Twice the lockout has been a stoppage during his reign, and each time the lockout is done. Now it is the third!

He is certainly the NHL's most hated person.

He makes himself more than eight million dollars a year. Would Mr. Bettman willing to give up their salary and give part of it to these "poor" teams?

This guy deserves his farewell tour to each arena so we can all applaud him for saying what we all have been saying for a long time.

I get all the "love" for Bettman here, but lets not give Fehr a pass.

I have been saying all the way back to last year it is: Mr. Cancel a Season Gary Bettman vs Mr. Cancel a World Series Donald Fehr. I knew this would be armageddon because they two egomaniacs could not care about the 'good' of the game as long as they get exactly what they want for their side not caring about the damage that maybe done in later years. This is a joke that they are having another lockout 7 years after shutting down a whole season. The friends of mine who are casual fans are laughing at this ordeal saying to me, "Another lockout? What is wrong with your sport?" I emailed the Flyers and told them I wouldn't buy one ticket to a game if this gets settled this year, as I will happily watch them on TV at home, I am hoping that the rest of the NHL fans do the same.

I'd love to see Fehr get a pass. As in he was eaten by a wolf and s hit over a cliff.

Sadly, they won't.

We discussed this yesterday and the shoddy Google translation. At least by today couldn't we have had another article that translates accurately? It's not like there's anything else going on in the sport, this is the height of hockey news the past two days. I didn't even know CBS covered hockey (still doesn't seem like it). No sidewindin' bushwackin', hornswagglin' cracker croaker is gonna rouin me bishen cutter.

Owners have all of the risk. Bloviating blather from players about their love for the game, but half of HRR isn't enough for them.

I don't totally disagree with you, but let's face it...no one ever bought a jersey with Bettman's name on it, or a poster of him, (unless it came with the darts) So a good portion of that money should go to the players, right?
