Howard, Van Gundy team up for county initiative

08:07 AM ET 09.19 | For all the heat Dwight Howard has taken in Orlando, Stan Van Gundy, of all people, may have taken some off. [Van Gundy] is the chairman of a political group in Seminole County called Citizens for Preservation of Property Values. The goal of the group is to increase property taxes in Seminole County to help preserve the area's traditionally strong public school system. ... "Dwight has pledged his support," Van Gundy said Monday during an interview on our Open Mike radio show on 740 The Game. "He's a resident of Seminole County, and he's keeping his house here. I think his history will show that he's had great concern for kids in the Central Florida community. With him still living here, we asked him to help and he didn't hesitate."

Thats a good one...they are keeping their homes there bc of the lack of state taxes and keeping their ow property values high. Thats why many pro athletes live in FL. This is bigger than bball, its about money! This shows nothing, we all saw how their relationship crumbled and ultimately destroyed the team and possibly set the franchise back for many years....if I were fan this would not pacify me in the least, especially if I didnt live in their community.

The haters of Howard don't want to hear the truth. Plain and simple, they just don't want hear about the human side of Howard. Same exact thing was with Lebron and all of his charity work in general, and particularly with Kids. The haters only want to hate behind thick lensed eyeglasses while on their computers, geeks and very unathletic to the fullest. Dude, get a grip. People don't HATE on Dwight for charitable reasons or work he does with kids. It is because of his drama when it comes to decision making the past couple years. What's not to hate about that? No one EVER said that he does not do charity or community events etc. Infact, most of us, with decent lifestyles do it. Obviously celebrities get recognition and coverage, common people don't.
Don't mix issues. The bottom line is, when it comes to Basketball and decision making, both SVG and dwingtmare are D'bags!!! Comprehende?
