Knicks eyeing Amundson?

08:08 AM ET 09.19 | As time ticks down to training camp, filling out rosters is becoming a priority in NBA cities. Kenyon Martin is the player so many continue to link to the Knicks, but K-Mart has remained steadfast in not wanting to accept a veteran's minimum. ... While K-Mart provides more toughness and size to the team, the Knicks might not want to get locked in with a volatile player. Not with other younger candidates still out there, such as Lou Amundson, who is contemplating offers overseas against opportunities in the NBA. Amundson could take a one-year in New York and, if he does well behind Amar'e Stoudemire, turn it into a better deal next summer. Another name to keep an eye on his Shawne Williams, who had success with the Knicks in 2010-11.

We don't need Amundson.....who is he anyways?, that ought to tell enough already. Williams....another joke. K Mart is worth more than the minimum so I don't blame him for not wanting to play for that. Looks like the Knicks are hell bent on signing the 33 plus players. This says a lot about that non producing fraud "Stat". We hear all these great aspirations from him yearly only to see him fail at em!

Wasn't 33 Ewing's number? Maybe you're on to something here...

Amundson is a cheap alternative.

Hes not a star by any means but a very scrappy player who rebounds well and defends...certainly couldnt hurt us at this point. I know Tyson and Camby are the big men but Lou can back up STAT and give some quality mins bc he doesnt look to score.

Just Looking To Get Paid, Bro?

This is the type of move the Knicks need to make, get more selfless role players who can provide something more than just flash since thats gotten you nowhere. This is a guy you never have to worry about whether or not he is gonna give his all and he wants to defend and rebound which is more than can be said about maybe 10 outta the 12 or so on the active roster right now

Is Amundson old enough to sign with the Knicks?

September 19, 2012  05:26 PM ET

I would much rather have KMart that Admunson.
And Shawne Williams would be a great fit, since the Knicksmreally don't have a lot of 3 pt shooters, just Novak and JR...

All the above points are moot. T-Wolves are gonna win it all anyway ;)
