08:00 AM ET 09.20 | On the upside, Fran Tarkenton said Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are "in the mix" of the NFL's greatest quarterbacks. But the former passing icon with the Minnesota Vikings says the two "are getting old" and showing it. "I saw Peyton do things Monday night against the Falcons that I've never seen him do," Tarkenton says of the 36-year-old Denver Broncos quarterback. "Brady hasn't looked like Brady in two years," he says of the 35-year-old New England Patriots quarterback. However, in his weekly video for TwinCities.com, Tarkenton lauds the new generation of quarterbacks, saying, "I think we've got more good young quarterbacks coming up than I've ever seen." That includes the Vikings' Christian Ponder.

Whatever age it is, Fran passed that age a few years ago.

Crushed by "Where They're Biting," the daily ice-fishing report. Even in the summer, when they do reruns of memorable shows from previous seasons.

Week 1: Manning hasn't missed a beat. He's showing that he's still the best!

Week 2: Manning is old, beaten, and should retire.

Week 3: ??????

Week 4: Profit.

LOL!

Kathy Lee Crosby breaks down the defense's play and John Davidson just laughs at how "funny" everyone else is.

Well, Fran, I haven't seen you flying around on fairy wings.

Can't you read the script? C'mon, try it. "Sha-BAM!"

Indeed!

September 20, 2012  09:13 AM ET

Since we all have the same amout of Super Bowl wins as Fran does, we should have our own show.

September 20, 2012  09:15 AM ET

By including Ponder he shot down any credibility his statements might have. Plus contributes to the whole "long term effects of concusion" argument.

Are you implying that the others are?

September 20, 2012  09:19 AM ET

Didn't Brady take the Patriots to the Super Bowl last year, with the NFL's worst defense? Yeah, he's getting old alright.

Wow, that's a reference I haven't heard in about 40 years.

"Brady hasn't looked like Brady in two years,"
So I guess we should we ignore him taking a team with no running game and a historically bad defense to a 14-2 record and the Super Bowl?
