Manning irked by questions about arm strength

He had an off day..it happens.

It is way too early in the season to pass judgment on anyone. Not Peyton Manning, not Tony Romo, not even the Jets.

Except, perhaps, Roger Goodell.

He never really did throw that great of a ball. It was all about the timing with his receivers.

No one likes to admit it, but everyone ages, and the sharp edges wear down. Then when you can't play the game any more, you talk about it, like Tarkenton.

Manning still has it, no doubt about that at all. IF he's lost some arm strength, he makes up for it with his knowledge of the game.

I love Peyton Manning and respect him immensely. But, I've never seen him throw so many wobblers. In the past I would see a few if he overthrew some, but not this many.

Nothing wrong with admitting you're human. Major neck surgery will take its toll on everybody.

The game Sunday night just showed that Manning and his teammates aren't quite on the same page yet. Watching him audible at the line, it seemed clear to me half of the guys didn't even know what he was trying to do. And let's not forget that despite how poorly the first quarter went, they still had a shot to win at the end. Manning and Denver are going to be fine.

This is the perfect example of how good recievers make a QB look great. Manning doesn't have the receivers he has in Indy. Throw that together with age and neck surgury. Its almost physically impossible for him to be the same.

Yea, it was obvious his knowledge overcame his arm strength in the 1st quarter the oither night.

It's moot point. They're not winning anything.

I also noticed that his passes were not tight spirals. This man was pinpoint with the Colts, among the most accurate I've ever seen, but he looked HORRIBLE the other night. It's almost like he was just throwing the ball in the general direction of a receiver hoping they would catch it. I'll give him a few more weeks before I pass final judgement, but it's not looking good.
