08:09 AM ET 09.20 | Nearly as quickly as the news hit, that Philip Anschutz was exploring the sale of AEG, eyes turned to Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong as a potential buyer. But Madison Square Garden owners Charles and James Dolan also "make a lot of sense," according to sports business consultant Marc Ganis, because of Dolan's interest in what AEG operates and controls -- sports and entertainment. Also, the Dolans can buy AEG using stock as currency because MSG is a publicly traded company. "MSG is a very attractive potential buyer," said Ganis. ... Still, there are obstacles to MSG buying AEG. Ganis noted that the Dolans would have to shed the Kings from the deal because they can't own two NHL teams (they own the Rangers).
