Redskins rookie sticking by his '91 Mazda

08:03 AM ET 09.21 | The theme of the Redskins player parking lot may be "One of these things is not like the other." Parked among the decked-out sport-utility vehicles and smooth, sporty rides at Redskins Park is a silver, 1991 Mazda 626 sedan that Alfred Morris just can't give up. Morris, a rookie running back, can most likely afford a nicer vehicle, but his '91 Mazda -- which is affectionately known as his "Bentley" -- reminds Morris of his journey of playing at mid-level Florida Atlantic University to starting in his first two career games in the National Football League. "It has some sentimental value to it now," Morris said Wednesday before the Redskins headed out for practice. "It just keeps me grounded, where I came from and all the hard work."

Nice to hear that some player won't end up like some of the other dead beat veteran players (T.O. and Sapp, et al).

The butt on that guy in the picture is probably bigger than Morris' Mazda.

Its one thing to own a junker and have the money for an elite car then owning a junker and its the only thing you can afford to own. You still get the big bucks regardless of whether you take the bus to work or not.

It would be impressive if he still feels the same way after a few successful years in the NFL, its easy to stay grounded before you start to fly...
