08:07 AM ET 09.21 | Denver Nuggets GM Masai Ujiri nearly had the chance to move to a bigger market. Before widening their search for a general manager this summer, the Philadelphia 76ers aggressively pursued [Ujiri], league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The 76ers were granted permission to talk to Ujiri earlier in the summer, but he ultimately resisted what would've been a lucrative package to replace Sixers president and GM Rod Thorn, sources said. Ujiri has emerged as a rising star among league front-office executives and had been the 76ers' primary target along with new Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry, sources said. The 76ers have narrowed the search and appear to be leaning toward promoting assistant GM Tony DiLeo to the GM job, league sources said.

I'm not afraid of that guy....if he comes at me, I just toss some bologna to the left, then I run to the right

But he is Mick the legend! You might need to toss him a Bud instead of bologna.

He did a good job during the melody fiasco.....Got more from NY than other teams got for giving up their star(Other than LA with Dwight)But he still hasn't addressed the 'go to' guy issueAnd this means another 1st round exit

Exactly. Denver hasn't addresses their biggest issue. They have a young, talented and deep team, but they won't truly be a threat until they get a guy to close games out in the 4th quarter. Iggy isn't that guy.

Detroit may be looking after this season so Mr. Ujiri expect a phone call.

Yeah, he'd leave for that disaster. The only way he'd consider it would be the fact that he could do an istant improvement over Joe and then move to a better organization. I mean, who would actually choose to live in Detroit?
