07:58 AM ET 09.24 | Especially in the NFL, accuracy wins the day over strength, but a big arm does tend to draw attention. You will notice some of the league's best quarterbacks, including Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Eli Manning, don't make the cut on this list. ... 1. Jay Cutler, Bears. His throwing motion is inconsistent, but he can put some real mustard on the ball almost any way he gets rid of it. Jets coach Rex Ryan is on record saying he thinks Cutler has the leagues strongest arm. CBS analyst Dan Dierdorf said during a broadcast that Mike Shanahan told him Cutler's arm was stronger than John Elway's. 2. Joe Flacco, Ravens. He throws the best comeback in the league. The beauty of Flacco's arm is that he has perfect mechanics and is an easy thrower.

Cutler started making comments about having a stronger arm than Elway while he was still in Denver. Elway looked at his rings and HOF bust, shrugged and said 'sure, Jay.' It's probably true, but it just doesn't matter.

A technically superior throwing motion? That and $4 will get you a coffee at Starbucks. He still has the QB sense of a Ryan Leaf or DeMarcus Russell.

To be fair every QB needs some protection, sounds like Jay's kinda taking some heat for the line. We'll know for sure next Monday night.

Yup he's got a cannon. Maybe one day he'll figure out that you can't actually throw it through a defender. Until then, he's a turnover machine.
