08:02 AM ET 09.24 | Patriots coach Bill Belichick didn't have much to say Sunday night about having appeared to make contact with an official as he left the field after losing to the Ravens. "I'm not going to comment on that," Belichick said. "You saw the game. What did we have, 30 penalties called in that game?" New England was flagged 10 times for 83 yards of accepted penalties, while the Ravens were called for 14 penalties and 135 yards. For the Patriots, the most critical penalty was a 27-yard pass interference flag on Sterling Moore that set up the Ravens' winning field goal. Belichick flatly said "no" when asked if he thought the NFL would fine him for contact with an official.

Nope..and he doesn't care. He needs to care a whole lot about the crappy defense in the 4th quarter.

The defense brought absolutely nothing to the game.

But I'll tell ya what......if I'm Bill I'll gladly take the fine. The calls were a joke though out that game. I dislike the Pats so much that I'd never give them relief or credit for anything, but on this one....I succeed. This type of officiating has got to come to a close and yeah, its that bad!

brought back memories of a certain defense we saw all too often last season.

I will not excuse these calls just becuase the Pats defense didn't play well in the fourth. You tryin to say there was no way at least a review of the FG wasn't necessary. Those two phantom pass interference calls didn't happen?

Funny thing is that same contact in a game is not being called anyway.

Even with Kraft in Goodell's ear he ain't getting a break
Here's a thought all fines related to the replacement refs should be added to the pot in the refs league negotiations

Hey, you didn't see the bogus PF call IMO on Matt yesterday. It looked like a clean hit to me. Certainly nothin he needs to be in front of a camera crying about his ear. The helment injured his ear and not the player. This was no Mike Tyson event!

Apparently whether a FG goes over the upright or not is not reviewable And they say all scoring plays and turnovers are reviewable granted the guy with the best view in the house was standing directly under the post be pretty tough to blow that call

that's a good thought, considering how extra chippy these games have been so far, maybe bring in an NHL ref with experience in handling brawls. These guys can't handle it.

I thought that even though the contact originated on the chest he did hit helmet to helmet ( as his momentum moved him ) I don't think they'll fine him though as that is clearly something that the player can't control

I'm sure he'll happily pay the fine to get the real refs back. The poor officiating is becoming the story. The games are secondary.

And it's obvious the announcers are frustrated as well.
