LSU running out of time

08:30 AM ET 09.24 | Teams should be so lucky to slip in the polls and land at No. 3, but it's not making LSU Tigers fans all that happy. To media and coaches voting in the poll, LSU looked a bit overrated when finally faced with a worthy opponent, and made a judgment call. Normally a victory at least keeps a team in place for another week. But in future weeks, if the Tigers fail to make significant improvement, they'll fall in the polls again and it won't be a judgment call. LSU gets one last non-conference game with Towson Saturday before hitting the meat of the schedule. ... It's clear to the Tigers themselves they've got a limited amount of time to correct what looked like a myriad of Week 1-style mistakes against a struggling Auburn team.

I didn't see the entire game, but if ulm is able to put points on the board vs aub and you are not??? Sounds like trouble to me.

Non-issue. If LSU runs the table they will be #1, if they don't they probably won't. Problem solved.

QUOTE(#3):

Poll bias? You decide. USC drops 10 plus spots after playing a now top 10 ranked Stanford and losing in a battle. LSU struggles against unranked Auburn and drops 1 spot still in contention. LMAO

Over-riding factor is that USC lost while LUS didn't...

And just think, after this year with the playoffs OT wanted, there will be four teams, all from the SEC.

True, LSU demolished a powerhouse Auburn team.

No one said trhat. They looked like crap and looked like they had a God-awful game plan (where have we heard that before). But, Miles is 3-3 against Coach Saban, so he's just as good. :)
