Bell rips Ozzie as Marlins 'become a zoo'

One day after Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria traded barbs with one of the team's former managers, closer Heath Bell took a swipe at the current one. "It's hard to respect a guy that doesn't tell you the truth or doesn't tell you face to face," said Bell of manager Ozzie Guillen during his weekly radio show with WQAM's Dan Sileo. ... On Sunday, Loria called former manager Fredi Gonzalez "classless" for saying, "There's not a manager dead or alive that Jeffrey thinks is good enough." As the Marlins stagger to the finish, black smoke billows over the wreckage of a team that's hit rock bottom. "The whole place has become a zoo," said one player of the Marlins.

Totally agree. When you sign a big contract and then fail miserably, you really shouldn't be publicly condemning other, even if there is merit in what you say.

Ozzie Guillen is a no-class jerk. Jeffrey Loria is a no-class jerk. Heath Bell is a no-class jerk. Notice a trend here? But they do have a nice tax-payer funded stadium.

Miami, do you know how happy Chicago was to get Ozzie's odd a ss out of here. Now he's your problem. He is a complete baseball team wrecking force unto himself. Compare the White Sox, who nobody thought would do anything this year, with the previous year's, Ozzie-led WS. He is a prime rib a ss h ole.

Seems to me that Oz doesn't always respect his players. Respect has got to be a two way street. Another thing is Ozzie has a hard time holding his tongue when he should. Bobby Valentine found out how quickly you can lose a clubhouse too because he trashed some of his players through the media. Some players fought back through the media. I don't remember Valentine doing that with the Mets but he really stepped in some mess when he stopped respecting his players enough to deal with them in the privacy of his office.
