08:25 AM ET 09.25 | The next stage of players' attitudes toward the lockout: anger. "Why wouldn't anybody be angry?" Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toewssaid Monday after an informal workout at Johnny's IceHouse West in Chicago. ... "We saw what the (owners) did in '04-05 and who knows if they're willing to do that again," Toews said. "To me, it's just carelessness. It's them just trying to show everyone that they're the owners and they're the league. They can do whatever they want. If they want to hurt their own game and drive it into the ground that's what they'll do. Even if it comes down to that, it doesn't matter as long as they get what they want. It's frustrating it's gone this far," Toews said.

I think Toews is getting the picture here. And .... if he doesn't like making millions of dollars within that framework, he better kiss them 'good bye' and .... find something else to do with his time.

Toews: Owners may 'drive it into the ground'

I've got news for Mr. Toews: This bus has TWO steering wheels and .... both drivers are bound and determined to drive it into the ditch. The only questions are .... which side of the road will it end up in? And, can anybody pull it out?

He can always play the game he loves in various other locales around the world so he won't be hurt by it...the NHL, that's another story!

So is this like the scene in Fight Club in which they all buckle their seat belts, fold their arms and just let the car find the accident? Seems a fitting analogy.

Got an early ferry to catch...

Canuck too.

God knows what befell the Albertans...

One day Swampy, Canuck and I will look you up.

And I saw your Florence on Austin City Limits, not bad for a Janis Joplin wannabe..
