Atlanta Braves make MLB history on way to Postseason berth

03:15 AM ET 09.26 | The available spots in the National League playoff picture has shrunk to just one, as the Atlanta Braves used a Freddie Freeman walk-off home run to beat the Miami Marlins and clinch a playoff berth. Not only did the Braves exorcise demons from last year, when they blew an 8 1/2 game lead to miss the playoff completely, but they made baseball history in the process.

Not completely sure of this years playoffs format but this "postseason" berth if I am correct means that they have earned a one game winner take all with the other wild card team? Regardless if you finish 10 games ahead of the other wild card team it comes down to one game after playing 162?
