08:10 AM ET 09.27 | Who is the on-court leader of the Hawks? With the departure of the co-captain Joe Johnson via trade this off-season, one question facing the Hawks this season, starting with the training camp next week, is who will assume his leadership role. A. Josh Smith, who was the other co-captain last season. B. Al Horford, who is healthy again. C. One of the many new faces that joined the team this off-season, such as Devin Harris, Lou Williams or Kyle Korver? The answer might just be: D. All of the above. (Isn't it always D in multiple choice tests?) "The leader of this team is the team," general manager Danny Ferry said Tuesday. ... "I think we will just be a different team. Some roles will change some and evolve."

Nevermind what Ferry did (or didn't do) for other teams......so far, he's done a real good job of putting good pieces into Atlanta Hawks uniforms.

Time will tell how well these pieces fit together.....but they are good pieces.

QUOTE(#7):

I believe Ferry did pretty well compared to whatever NY did! He got rid of JJ and Williams. What has your GM done? You like to talk bad about other GMs/players but you need to look at the mirror and see what has your GM have done for the last 12 years... Ferry tried in Cleveland! He had to make Lebron happy so he brought in players Lebron wanted!

Agreed. Ferry cleared cap space and brought in players that he can either rebuild the franchise with, or deal away for star players. All the Knicks did was invest in an old folks home.
