08:18 AM ET 09.27 | In the span of a few weeks, Los Angeles has become hostile territory for college football media. UCLA football coach Jim Mora threw the media out of practice Wednesday morning over television camera crews wandering into restricted areas. The incident was believed to have occurred just as practice was starting. The Los Angeles Times, per a new policy, does not attend practices at UCLA and USC. People present said that camera crews were setting up on the field, which apparently angered Mora. Sports information department employees were also tossed out of practice. Mora had the gate locked. Linebacker Dalton Hilliard, receiver Jerry Rice Jr. and receiver Darius Bell -- all late-arriving players -- had to wait for the gate to be unlocked.

I found the end of this a bit humorous ...

"Athletic programs now have their own websites and their own twitter accounts and Facebook pages, and they want to break news on them to generate traffic and connect with fans ??? and more than anything, slant coverage in a positive night."

This part:
'and more than anything, slant coverage in a positive light'

Uh yeah ... like the media doesn't "slant coverage" at all either - right??? LOL
