08:21 AM ET 09.27 | Thanks to Mark Dantonio, the Spartans now have two nationally recognized programs, and Tom Izzo sees even more sustained progress coming. "We have stability," Izzo said. "We have solidarity. We have guys pulling for one another. We have guys helping one another. We have a leader in Lou Anna Simon, who's on some committees now with the NCAA. We've got a tremendous leader in Mark Hollis. That has made it so much smoother for Dantonio and I, and we're making some progress, and I think we're going to be a force to be reckoned with where we're knocking on the door every year. We're not going to win championships every year, but are we knocking on the door? I think we will be, and we are, and we'll continue to."

Michigan State will always be number two when compared to Michigan. Nothing will ever change that perception in Michigan.

Who does #2 work for?

Izzo do understand he is the Football coach and not the Hockey coach?

QUOTE(#13):

In basketball, I'm not sure anyone in the state is even aware Michigan has a team, MSU is a national brand in CFB, on par with UNC, Duke and Kentucky. As for football...Sparty is going for a 5th win in a row... They also have the most recognizable and beloved mascot in CFB...

I really do not Like Beaker from MSU....I would say that Morehead State University could have had a real cool mascot.
