NHL cancels remaining preseason games

06:45 PM ET 09.27 | The NHL lockout is one step closer to having an impact on the regular season as the league announced they have canceled the remaining preseason games that were slated to run from Oct. 1-8. The news comes one week after all exhibition games scheduled for September were officially canceled, and now the stage has been adequately set for the league to soon start crossing off regular season games that are scheduled to begin on Oct. 11. The NHL and NHLPA have not met for more than two weeks to discuss their differences for a new collective bargaining agreement, leaving little doubt that games that count in the standings will be lost.

On my PVR I think I get a new SVU and I have a Boss and maybe this new one I saw called Perception. And I've got 100 pages left in the first Game of Thrones book. That may win out...
