Drops land Little in the doghouse

08:07 AM ET 09.28 | Brandon Weeden not only gave the Browns a chance to win Thursday, but also some hope for fans in Cleveland, even if his performance was undone somewhat by Greg Little's dropped passes. [Little], who caught four passes on Thursday night, had five more catchable passes touch his hands. One of those was a beautifully thrown ball by Brandon Weeden into the end zone in the fourth quarter that Little acknowledged after the game he should have had. ... There has been talk of the Browns benching Little, but Cleveland may not have any better options, at least in the short term: Mohamed Massaquoi missed Thursday night's game and Josh Cribbs suffered a concussion during the game, so the Browns are thin at receiver.

All Bark But No Bite, Bro?

What do you call a receiver that drop the ball ?

Worthless

If the Browns insist on drafting QB's and not drafting weapons for them to throw to, then it really doesn't matter who they line up back there, does it?

Weeden had 3 good series where he put up the majority of his numbers but have to agree those Cleveland receivers have a bad case of Braylon Edwards disease

Dammit, that was a beautiful touch pass from Weeden to Little and he ruined it. This was actually a really good game last night from start to finish.

Weeden is coming along. Looked like he was scared of the rush at first, but he kept it together. Over 300 yards passing anyway.

Weeden looked servicable out there on a few series, but his receivers drop the ball and his line doesn't protect. Ray Lewis put a hit on him that should earn him a letter from good ole Rog in the coming week.

Hell, I would be scared too if I snapped the ball and saw a murderer (Ray Lewis...hehe) coming at me.

You nailed it Otis. The fact Greg Little is even an option at all is all you need to know.

Weeden is developing a nice rhythm with his tackles as they push their defenders to the outside and he steps up into the pocket. He really didn't look like a rookie last night. But 5 drops is 5 too many, especially a sure touchdown! C'mon man!

Decent it was. Browns looked better than expected and Ravens looked like they really aren't as great as they thought they were.

Mind you they did win looking relatively average..

That running back they drafted ain't too bad, no matter what Jim Brown says

Looked like the Ravens were running out of gas towards the end, 4 games in 17 days? That's harsh

The Browns have drafted 2 second round receivers (Little & Gordon) who both missed their last year of college and expect these guys to be solid targets with sure hands???

It may be a factor as to why the game was as close as it was.

Anyone willing to take on flyer on Chad Johnson? TO?

September 28, 2012  12:24 PM ET

I think they could work with TO if the set the stage up front. Tie his wage to performance and a shut mouth
