08:08 AM ET 09.28 | The Bills' running back corps remains a question mark in Buffalo, where a pair of RBs are fighting injuries. Barring a setback in the next two days, it's looking more likely that Buffalo Bills star running back Fred Jackson will play against New England on Sunday. "Fred worked and worked well [Thursday], and there didn't seem to be any residual affect negatively from yesterday," Bills coach Chan Gailey said. Jackson, who sprained his knee in the season opener, worked most of the practice. ... Gailey said running back C.J. Spiller took a few reps as he tries to come back from a shoulder injury suffered Sunday. "He didn't take a lot, but he took a few and he got back into the swing of things," Gailey said.

Say what you want about the Bills, but when your problem is having to 'fall back' and use Fred Jackson as your running back, life isn't too bad.

Jackson always seems to perform well against the Pats.

Just a hunch but I believe Fred Jackson is going to run all over new England this weekend.

Chris Johnson ran for 4 yards on 11 carries against the Pats. Their run defense has improved a lot. The pass defense remains questionable. (And yes, I'm being charitable by calling it "questionable.")
But, the New England defensive philosophy has always been "take away their number 1 threat." With Buffalo, the number 1 threat is going to be Fred Jackson.

To be honest, the Bills aren't much of a test for anyone's defense.

Too bad for Buffalo. Two good running backs and can't keep either one of them healthy. Of course, I have both of them on my fantasy teams. Sheesh.

I don't know what "tag.contextweb.com" is. I assume it is some sort of advertising thing. But that is what is slowing up this site so much. SI needs to insist that their sponsors have adequately functioning servers.
