As the Celtics floor leader will tell anyone who asks, he occupies the first chair. [Danny Ainge] threw organizational clout behind that belief on Tuesday when he said, "The way he played last year in the playoffs, I thought, was pretty incredible. He proved he's the best player on the team." [Paul Pierce] may still be captain, and [Kevin Garnett] remains the team's heart, soul and conscience, but Rondo is the nerve center. Rivers often marveled last season at how well Rondo carried out his orders, often through anticipation and instinct instead of an actual need to listen.

I like Rondo and he should be their best player. Pierce and KG are on the decline and the rest of those jokers are role players. I hope that big kid from the school in Ohio does well.

For years I was telling my friends that this team will go as far as hi takes them and so far he hasn't disapointed me. If he becomes a better shooter he will be a top 3 PG in this league. Hes the best defender at his position and his vision is in the same leage as Chris Paul and Deron.

Rondo doesn't nearly get the credit and respect that he deserves. He is a better point guard, and player, than Chris Paul is.
