If he ever felt like an outsider due to the truncated nature of last season, he feels ingratiated with his guys now, as the grind of training camp is days away. The Pistons coach bounces around the facility, anxious to get things going, to see if his team's .500 finish in the last 42 games of last season was a mirage or harbinger of things to come. ... Greg Monroe's development could be the biggest key in the Pistons returning to respectability. Frank put a lot of pressure on the 24-year old big man, telling him to improve on defense and become a more vocal leader. "He's made huge gains," Frank said. "The work he puts in and the intensity which he's working is tremendous."

This year all I want to see is improvement. Considering they were competing for a playoff spot after starting 4-20 last year did lend some hope for this year.
