02:55 AM ET 09.29 | Demetrius Jackson, the Point Guard from Mishawaka, committed to Notre Dame Thursday after a long recruitment by Mike Brey and his staff. Jackson is ranked as the 66th best recruit according to the Fansided 150. Other recruiting services have Jackson ranked even higher than that. Jackson had offers from Kansas, Louisville and Michigan State among others. He is definitely the type of player that will make a difference in a program immediately and in a big way.

This is a coup? The kid's from a Catholic school in northern Indiana about a stone's throw from South Bend and the competition is Illinois. Great job of harvesting your backyard, Mike.

Would be nice to see ND's BB program elevate itself to top tier status.
Very difficult to do in a One and Done environment, where ND won't play that game.
Their recruits have to also be students, a foreign concept to so many of the one and done programs.
