07:52 AM ET 09.29 | Kobe Bryant's smile widened. The Lakers star then placed his hand on his head and winced. His facial expressions suggested he was watching a home video of his childhood past. But as he appeared Friday on Ellen," Bryant actually saw Ellen DeGeneres' previous interview with Dwight Howard. There, the Lakers center recalled a conversation where he told Bryant he's making progress on his back rehab. Bryant busted out laughing, and then called Howard a "good dude." But Bryant hardly dwelled too much on Howard's imitation. Instead, the Black Mamba oozed enthusiasm on what Superman's arrival means on the court. "Very excited," Bryant said. "He's one of the most dominant defensive players the game has ever seen. We add him to the talent that we have. It's going to be exciting. I'm really looking forward to it." Bryant also was playful on "Ellen." He came out dancing a bit to "California Love," the famed rap song from 2Pac and Dr. Dre. Bryant joked he brought his two Olympic gold medals to DeGeneres as a gift. Bryant also detailed extensively how President Obama talks trash when they played basketball together.

Well it must be a big moment for a fraud to play basketball with the president. On the other hand Kobe, it also must be nice to have people come in and bail your fraud ass greatest ever legacy out by inhancing it by having them lead your teams to victory in finals, hence Shaq 3x, Pau 1x (you collected his deserved MVP in that fiasco), Pau and Metta 1x and now probably Dwight. I will say this fa ya Kobe, you do have great fortune by having these players arrive and help your fraudacy outl. I will give you this though, "your team IMO are the front runners for a ring this year. Then you can put up that fake stare and air of conceit.

So your telling me that Magic won 5 title because of team he had back in the 80's, you R telling me that Larry Legend won 3 titles because of the team he had. You R telling me that Jordan won 6 championship because he had Pippen and was coached by Phil. You R telling me that LeBron got his first ring because he played with Bosh and Wade. Because that's what I understand. Look dude U can't win a championship if your team it's not great. Go ask Shaq if he could have won a championship without Kobe or Wade, he will answer sarcastactly yes but he knows that he's lying. Pau had a great series again the Celtics but he's numbers couldn't match Kobe. Before U submit a comment make sure your objective because your clearly a Kobe hater.

How in the world did Kobe Bryant win the NBA Finals MVP award? If he was the most valuable player, how did his team win the most valuable game when he goes 6-24 from the field? Never one to crush an idea without an alternative, I submit Pau Gasol as the proper choice as MVP. Now, I know people might cringe at the idea of someone other than the biggest star winning the MVP but too bad. Let's try using our eyes and our brains at the same time just for a change.
Consider this: In the four games the Lakers won, Gasol notched double-doubles in all of them. In the three games the Lakers lost, Gasol put up a double-double only once. Bryant actually averaged more points in games that the Lakers lost than he did in games that they won!
Gasol's rebounding and interior presence was the reason the Lakers have another banner to raise at the Staples Center. In Lakers wins, Gasol averaged 13 boards a game. In the losses, only eight. Not to mention the fact that once Kendrick Perkins (generally acknowledged as a great defensive big man) was out, Gasol took control and carried the team through one of the worst elimination game performances of Kobe Bryant's career. Sounds like MVP stuff to me

On no buddy, I'm not wrong, just ask the many of posters on this site....Did Larry, Shaq, Magic, Mike, and of recent Lebron show up in the finals and have signature finals? The anwser and not surprising would be a resounding YES! Now ask these same posters what was Kobe's signature finals moment and the answer would be a resounding ......."he hasn't had one". So don't go rattling off superior champions in the same breath as them.......Kobe doesn't fit the bill in championship play. Is that real enough fa ya ass? I'm not hatin, just stating the facts.

Let me remind U that even with a bad shooting performance he end up with game high in points 14 rebounds. The Finals MVP award its given to the most consistent player and Kobe CLEARLY was more consistent in all 7 games than Gasol. Just because Gasol had his best game in the finals in game 7 doesn't mean that he should have been the MVP. Now I must admit he was key in that title and his contributions to this team aren't appreciate by others.

Did you look at "ALL" the stats for that game 7 when Kobe went 6/24 from the floor??? If you did look at the stats, you would have seen that Kobe had 15 boards, yes I said 15 rebounds in that game.

I absolutely applaud this analogy. I agree with it 10%. And OBTW, I like the part about just for once open your eyes. Somehow someway these Kobe loyalist refuse to see what everyone else saw and that was Kobe's disappearing acts durin the finals. They're kidding themselves with regards to Kobe.
