Rob Gronkowski's hip questionable for Patriots

08:12 AM ET 09.29 | Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is listed as questionable for tomorrow's game against his hometown Buffalo Bills with a hip injury. The daily practice participation and injury report had Gronkowski as "limited participation" yesterday at Gillette Stadium. This is the first time the tight end's hip has appeared on an injury report, so there isn't a previous injury to reference in terms of a potential reaggravation. However, with Aaron Hernandez ruled out for tomorrow, the Patriots would need to rely on Gronkowski to take a bigger role on the receiving side than he had last week when he caught two passes for 21 yards.

What is this ? Reverse Hoodie, didn't hoodie put pretty much everyone on the injury list in the past ?

September 29, 2012  08:57 AM ET

Bench this guy, before you lose him for the year!!!

It's early in the season, but the Pats can't afford a loss to a division foe and Darth Hoodie isn't going to go 2 games under 500. Gronk plays.

Mankins is also questionable for the game. Tom, let me introduce you to Mario.

Nothing to see here. Gronk may have dinged himself in practice, but at the end of the day his presence on the injury report is classic Belichick gamesmanship. Brady himself has been on virtually every injury report since he entered the league in 2000.

And don't think for a second that Chan Gailey isn't playing the exact injury report game with his stable of running backs.
