Kentucky: Joker Phillips has not resigned

08:38 AM ET 09.29 | Kentucky athletics spokesman Tony Neely said reports that football coach Joker Phillips was resigning are "absolutely false." Phillips has not discussed resigning with athletic director Mitch Barnhart, Neely said. "They haven't even seen each other in the last 24 hours," Neely said. Phillips is 12-17 in his third year as head coach of the Wildcats. UK's five-year bowl streak was snapped last year when the team went 5-7. Pressure on Phillips increased when the Wildcats lost 32-31 to Western Kentucky on Sept. 15.

IMO I think Joker is doing a decent job with the talent he has. Do you want to fire him and send him but to Butt Crack, Kentucky??? :-)

Coach Brooks brought them to the verge of respectability, and then bolted. His recruiting in his last year was not good.
Joker did get them out of one pitiful losing streak-- an accomplishment his predecessor never could do. Unfortunately for them, the other one (against uf) still hangs over their heads. I wouldn't be surprised if it got to the level that the ND/Navy streak did.
