Oklahoma State concealing Wes Lunt's availability

08:42 AM ET 09.29 | Oklahoma State deviated from its normal procedure Friday when it failed to disclose whether injured starting freshman quarterback Wes Lunt would be available for Saturday's game against Texas. In the past several weeks, Coach Mike Gundy and the Cowboys have issued a release on Friday stating the availability of injured players. But that policy changed as it remains a mystery whether Lunt or backup J.W. Walsh will be the starting quarterback against the Longhorns in the nationally televised game. "We know injury reporting has been a hot-button issue around college football in recent weeks, and we experimented with releasing injuries on Fridays," an OSU release stated. "However, those reports have led to unintended consequences. "We will not issue an injury report this week but we will continue to evaluate the best way to address this issue moving forward."

This could end up being a war of attrition. Both teams have several players out.

What are the "unintended consequences" the OSU release referred to?

You are not going to need "SEC speed" for the next two week, as your team will be 5-0 after next week. Miss State should be in the top ten then and after such a hard starting schedule. Just stirring the pot a bit this morning!!!! LOL.

Hell I just looked at Miss State's schedule again, they should be 7-0 after 10/20!!!!

The injury that matters most for this game is Hicks. Texas' leading tackler and much, MUCH more importantly, its defensive signal caller. Good guys were confused as often as not against Ole Piss after he went out. Somebody else better step up in that role or tonight's total combined score may rival the Bible Aggy/Brokeback Mountaineer contest. Turns out speed and athleticism on defense don't matter so much if you have no clue what your assignment is. Speedy athletic guys who don't know where to go can get out of position really fast.

That's the plan....
Schools like Moo State, at this point in their career, play for bowl games and HOPE to get in the CCG....after a couple of decent years, we'll start expecting it. Hoping Mullens stays around to get them there...

I do too...except, they are the Mississippi version of aggie. As long as they don't start using some of that weirdo aggie stuff, they'll be okay in my book. Cow bells are okay...sheep mol........., not so much.

"What's My Line" is nothing. Colonel was already in an old folks' home when he first started listening to Burns and Allen on the radio. Senile old coot didn't even realize Gracie was kidding, he wrote in her name when he voted for president.
............... I wasn't yet old enough to vote back then. I did vote for Pat Paulsen a few years later, though.

The old Smothers Brothers. Wish Pat Paulsen had been a candidate the last 20 years. I'd have voted for him every time.
