Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson hurting NFL draft stock

10:46 AM ET 09.30 | Tyler Wilson had a choice after last year -- leave for the NFL, or come back and have another season as Arkansas' quarterback. As sad as it is to say, Wilson made the wrong choice. Wilson could have been playing in the NFL as a likely first-round pick. Instead, he's the star player on the most disappointing team in college football. Arkansas lost 58-10 to Texas A&M to fall to 1-4, looking more like a team that has quit on its coach and itself. Perhaps Wilson's draft stock won't be affected by Arkansas' problems, but it can't be getting better. Wilson already suffered a concussion that kept him out of the Alabama game, made the questionable decision to accuse his team of quitting against Alabama in a game he didn't play, and is now playing for a team that will struggle to get bowl eligible. None of that will look good on his resume.

It would really help with Wilson played on a good team!!! Damn Arky is bad this year!!! Too bad Wilson can't play defense.

A former Big12 middle-of-the-road team beats a team that was said to be emerging to "elite" status, and beats them handily.

"Elite" is the most over-used word in sports.

There are no elite teams. It's a media concoction. It tells fans what they want to hear while being suckered by beer commercials.

Matt Barkley far behind? Plenty of room at the Heartbreak hotel.

I hope it doesn't hurt his stock that much. He wasn't out there playing defense..

Wilson tried to give a speech like Tebow did after the Gators lost to Ole Miss. The Razorback meltdown proves he does not have the power of leadership to will this team to victory. The Razorbacks have the most lethal thing you can give a group , a built in excuse. People will whine about Bobby Petrino and John L. Smith and the players have used this "excuse' to pack it in. No way they should go scoreless versus Bama and only put up 10 versus Texas A&M. Winners use adversity for motivation and loosers use adversity as an excuse to fail.

Tyler Wilson made the RIGHT choice.

Bobby Petrino made the WRONG choice.

I am a fan of offense but that was a bit much. Ok. A lot much. BTW, I turned on the SEC TN-UGA game and saw a B12 game breakout. No defense. All offense.

I watched the Baylor/WVU game and saw a BB game breakout....

I know there is a long way to go in the season, but it sure seems strange to see 6 12 PAC teams in the top 25!!!
