10:11 AM ET 09.30 | Quarterback Tony Romo has tabled negotiations on a contract extension with the Cowboys until the season is over so the process won't become a distraction. The Cowboys recently reached out to Romo's representatives at Creative Artists Agency, owner Jerry Jones said, in regard to a contract extension. "We talked. We thought he had an interest, and he knows we have an interest," Jones said. "But he wants to just concentrate on the season." Jones said there is no open dialogue right now between the Cowboys and Romo's representatives about a contract extension. "We're not doing anything on the contract right now," Jones said. "We just haven't done anything on it. He's just concentrating on right now, this year, what he's doing on the field. We're fine with that, too. He's not going anywhere." Romo recently switched agents at CAA.

True, but who else on the roster could win a game ... big or not? Orton? McGee? Those guys have to keep their throws well within the hash marks which only works in the short-term. The Cowboys have no successor at starting QB on the roster. Romo holds all the cards.

Yes he does. There is nothing behind door number two. And he is a top 10 NFL QB. Playoff wins? Matt Ryan has zero, but that does not make him a dud.
