08:31 PM ET 09.30 | The New York Jets' day couldn't have been any worse than they were a a week after they lost Darrelle Revis for the season with an ACL tear, but at least they scored points in that contest. Not only were the Jets shut out at home against the 49ers, they have likely lost another piece of their team for a significant period of time. Wide reciever Santonio Holmes suffered a foot injury early in the game and was promptly taken to the locker room for further evaluation. Although the initial diagnosis on Holmes showed he didn't have any broken bones, those close to the Jets are saying that Holmes still has a lot to be worried about and in reference to his foot, "Something isn't right."

And to make matters worse, there are persistent rumors that Rex Ryan will have no choice but to start Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow next week.

Did they take that picture with the special lens that makes Rex look like a normal-sized person?

Maybe Tebow could start at CB.

Hate this for him. If he tore his Achilles, it will effectively end his career as an explosive WR. He will miss that burst.

No jets fan here but hate to see an injury like this.

The medical staff gave him an enema before that picture was taken.

Good defensive game with the eagles and giants.

Looks like the Jets just went off the radar

Tebow completed his only pass.

If he could complete them to himself and play CB too it might be of some help to the jets

Nice job with the offense by Sparano so far.

A veritable juggernaut

Can't blame Sparano when Sanchez can't repeat good throws and his receivers drop the ball more often than third grade girls during gym class.

Too bad for Holmes! 8^(

Bro... A little early in the morning for 3rd grade girls in a gym class to be on the mind, eh ?

I think you may be underestimating the capability of third grade girls if you are comparing them to the Jets.

Switch Cromartie to WR he said he was the best receiver on the team!! There; problem solved!

And then the receiver fumbled the ball when he got hit. Pretty much sums it up for the Jets.

Well, he can't contribute on the field, but at least Holmes can still be his cancerous self in the locker room.
