08:13 AM ET 10.01 | Daniel Bard will soon wake up from the the nightmare that was his 2012, and he'll hope the page turns. He just wants next season to get here for his new beginning. "It was just kind of a perfect storm," said Bard [Sunday] about his woes. "It was going to be tough, but maybe in the right market, in a different year, with this team, it would have been different. But whatever, I'm happy and I'll come back next year and dominate." Bard plans to spend as much time as possible deer hunting before he picks up a baseball again in December. When he does pick up that ball, he will pick it up with the mindset of the reliever who dominated from the Red Sox bullpen the prior three years.

One step at a time, Daniel. Frankly, you've never been dominant at the MLB level. You were a steady, serviceable set up man for just one season before this year's problems.
