Has Dennis Allen already lost the locker room?

03:36 PM ET 10.01 | Is it too early to wonder aloud whether or not rookie head coach Dennis Allen still has the ear of his football team? If not, consider how embarrassingly bad the Raiders looked during Sunday's debacle in Denver. Losing I can tolerate; if a team is that much better, then so be it. I just have a very difficult time wrapping my head around a team with the Raiders' talent being as absent for an entire afternoon of football as they were.

The Raiders are not loaded with talent and deserve to be 1-3.

Down the hall, last door on the left Dennis!

Whoa... A mid-day update... Misguided as it may be...

Note to Blogger / Author: A Talented team does not get outscored 67 to 125 thru 4 games...

Jimmie Johnson went 1-15 his firts year. Its going to take time to overcome the hole dug by Alzheimers Davis and Huge Idiot Jackson for this team.

Say what you will about Davis, but the Raiders have never allowed 125 points through the first 4 games while he was in charge. That goes back to 1963.

Coaching overhaul, roster overhaul and injuries have thrust this team into full fledged rebuilding mode. The team has no identity and it showed on Sunday.

And yeah, apparently SI has a partnership with Fansided because the majority of the afternoon updates are coming from those blogging sites.

There has been a change lately, especially in the NFL threads. Not voting on it just yet, but some as you say...

Time to put Pryor in. He has been chomping at the bit to be like Cam. Lets blame this mess on Palmer. Someone has to take the fall. The black players will rally for Pryor.

Unfortunately Yes!!!

The Raiders were hurt when they traded away high draft picks for Carson Palmer. It will take time for this team to become a serious contender.

If a coach loses a room of mediocre talent at most positions, headed by a "retired" QB does that really reflect on the coach ?

When the President of the United States gets the job "because he's black," it's hard to say that such thinking isn't alive and well, one way or the other.

The idea of "Reverse Racism" was created by whites. In essence this slogan really implies that only they (whites) can or are entitled to be racists.

Good one Rex.

It's not about the color of Carson Palmer's skin. It's about his lack of production.

If Dennis Allen wants to "win back the locker room," he needs to figure out a way to win some games. At the same time, the players need to give him a bit of slack. New coach, new ownership, new GM....give him some time. And maybe give him a quarterback who can play.
