Rockies expected to gut Tracy's staff

08:14 AM ET 10.02 | Under the circumstances -- the worst season in Rockies history -- there are plenty of question marks. [The] pressing question: Will manager Jim Tracy return? The Rockies aren't looking to run him off. However, he must remain agreeable to less control -- his primary duties are in-game strategy and meeting with the media -- with Bill Geivett making important decisions as the director of major-league operations. Another issue: Will Tracy want to stay if, as expected, his coaching staff is gutted? Tracy kept the entire crew last September. It won't be his decision this time around, at least not entirely. Everyone from third-base coach Rich Dauer to pitching coach Bo McLaughlin and hitting instructor Carney Lansford could be replaced.

If you are a NL West fan you want Tracy to stay because that will be one less team to worry about with him in charge of the Rockies.

Too much contingent upon speculation about how duties will be assigned to the GM and manager. Save these questions for later.

As much as I can't wait to see Bobby V. go, there's a lot of blame to go around for all those losses.

Wiseup:Rockies Management is saying they dont trust Tracey To hire a coaching staff that he knows and can trust and work with. Tracey should tell Geivett to stick it and manage the rockies as well. Tracey will find work some where if fortunate will have some talent.

wiseup geivett has it all figured out. He will handle the important decisions, like hiring coaching staff and player aquistions. Tracey will handle in game strategy and then gets to deal with press trying to cover Geivetts butt because rockies still dont have a competitive team.

This organization is run by a bunch of idiots. Tracy was not a good manager before he came to Colorado and he is even worse now that he is at Colorado. How can you not fire this guy.
