03:36 PM ET 10.02 | At the end of last season, LeBron James joined Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain and Moses Malone on the list of players who can boast about having at least three regular season MVP awards. Is LeBron going to take another step up this list this year and surpass Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Moses Malone by winning his fourth regular season MVP award? LeBron James made it clear last season that he would gladly exchange all his individual accolades, if that meant finally winning an NBA championship. Following last year's success, James will finally be able to add a championship ring to his rich collection of individual awards. Now that the pressure is somewhat off his shoulders, could we see James take down, not only a few more championships, but also regular season MVP awards?

Yes he will win it hands down. Show me another player that can even come close to competing with the kind of numbers he puts?

If he's the leading scorer in the league and a top-3 defender in the league, I don't see how they cannot give it to him. But that's the ONLY way he gets the award.

He will start getting the MJ treatment where you know he is the MVP but they get tired of voting for him.(and no Im not comparing LBJ to MJ) I see the MVP going to Durant this year.

Durant should win this season if he can improve his rebounding and assists. If not then LeBron will get his 4th MVP Award. These 2 guys have separated themselves from the rest of the league.

QUOTE(#11):

I see though his minutes, role and numbers going down this year as the heat should be able to coast easily to the #1 seed- and as detroit said above- after a while people want to root/vote for a new story

Gosh... we gotta deal with this guy all season long?...

QUOTE(#15):

As long as the Heat don't win another title, as far as I'm concerned Lebron can have all the of the MVP's he wants. I effing hate the Miami Heat.

Lakers will should win it this year... they're the better team
