Verlander irked by Cabrera coverage

08:18 AM ET 10.03 | Perhaps it is the Mike Trout factor, but the 2012 accomplishments of Miguel Cabrera, at least in the eyes of the Tigers, is being undersold. [Cabrera] had two more hits and two more RBIs Tuesday night, and the Triple Crown is in his grasp. Not that he needed further confirmation of his greatness, but surely this would do it. Heck, it might even end that relentlessly tiring MVP debate. ... "I think he's been relatively under the radar for what he's doing," Tigers ace Justin Verlander said before the game. "I haven't seen that much attention on him, not like it should be. It kind of annoys me, but it probably doesn't annoy him. The entire baseball world should be here right now."

If the game was important then ESPN or MLB Network would have shown the game live instead of just cutting in on it when Cabrera came to bat. It was the same when Big Mac was trying to break the Home Run record and the cardinals were just playing out the season.

Yeah okay Verlander....if it was a media circus you'd be complaining about that too...give it a break...

So what is he trying to hint at, that white privledge is unfair? He shouldn't waste his time trying to play that card. Mabey it is because the sky is the limit on Trout's potential and he is much better as a rookie than Cabrera ever was

You sir, are an ID-10-T. Go set yourself on fire.

There's been plenty of triple crown talk. Miggy's not being ignored. Personally, I'd love to see atriple crown winner.

Seriously, there's no need to pull the race card. It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with Detroit being a generally ignored market, in comparison to the NYs, Bostons, LAs, Chicagos, etc.

Is there an equivalent to Detroit in Denmark?Maybe being stranded in the North Sea without a boat?

Weatherwise, the whole of Denmark is like Detroit. Probably worse.

Actually, the downtown area around the stadiums is as nice as most cities. Just like any major metro areas, it has its bad areas.
